143 players represented the Brisbane Bears in a VFL/AFL Premiership match between 1987-1996.

Mark Williams was the first player to sign with the expansion club, Tony Lynn was the club's 50th player in 1988, and Russell Jeffrey became the 100th player in 1992.

Matthew Campbell was the last of the Bears 'originals', serving with the club from 1987-1993, while Roger Merrett and Scott McIvor, each with nine years at the club, were the longest-serving players.

Martin Leslie was the first player drafted by the club at No.1 in the 1986 AFL National Draft, and Tim Notting, selected at No.26 in the 1996 National Draft, was the last player drafted by the Bears prior to the merger.

Bernie Harris kicked the first Bears goal, Brad Hardie became the first player to kick 50, 100 and 150 goals for the club, and Roger Merrett was first to 200 and 250 goals, and, at the time of the merger, held the club record for most games and most goals.

Michael Voss, aged 17 years and 11 days on debut in 1992, was the Bears' youngest player, and Roger Merrett, aged 36 years and 155 days in the club's last appearance in the 1996 preliminary final, was the oldest player.

Ian Kidgell, at 203cm, was the tallest Bears player and Danny Craven, at 162cm, was the shortest.

Alex Ishchenko, who tipped the scales at 110kg, was the heaviest. And Corey Bell, all 59kg of him, was the lightest.
