The Brisbane Lions’ National Talent Manager, Rob Kerr, will leave the club to take up a position with the Essendon Football Club.

Kerr has accepted a role of General Manager of Football Operations with the Bombers after almost four years of outstanding service with the Lions.

His last day at the club is today.

”It’s a unique opportunity that has presented itself and one that I’m keen to explore,” said Kerr.

“I have enjoyed my time at the Lions greatly and I thank the club for their understanding given the timing.

“I believe that the club is very much on the right path and the Football Department has a plan in place to develop a competitive playing list.”

Lions General Manager – Football Operations, Dean Warren, said:

“We acknowledge the strong service Rob has given us, and that this is a great opportunity for him to step into.

“We wish Rob all the best and we will now begin the process of finding a replacement.”
