The Brisbane Lions will welcome some fellow big cats to the Gabba this Thursday night with the Club’s latest ambassadors, Terri, Bindi and Robert Irwin set to attend the all-important Tigers clash.

Australia Zoo Wildlife Warriors will be match partners for the Lions’ match against Richmond on Easter Thursday.

Lions utility, Dan Merrett, said the Club was extremely excited to welcome the Irwins to the Lions family.

“The Irwin family are not just icons of Queensland, they are famous all over the world and we are pumped to have them on board,” said Merrett.

“Everyone knows how passionate the Irwin family is, especially when it comes to conservation and the work of Australia Zoo and their charity Wildlife Warriors, and we are proud to claim them as passionate Lions fans too.

“We have had some big name Queenslanders throw their support behind us this year, but none bigger than Terri, Bindi, Robert and the Australia Zoo family. It’s pretty exciting!

Terri Irwin concurs on the exciting partnership, saying: "Bindi, Robert and I are so proud to be ambassadors for the Brisbane Lions. We should all support the Lions. They are champion athletes and true Wildlife Warriors."

As part of their ongoing relationship, Australia Zoo Wildlife Warriors will be match partners for the Lions’ match against Richmond on Easter Thursday.
