Chief Herald Sun writer Mark Robinson suggests the Brisbane Lions might just have the form midfield of the AFL competition.

In his regular Monday wrap-up of the round, Robinson praised the recent efforts of Tom Rockliff, Dayne Zorko, Pearce Hanley, and Stefan Martin – who he collectively named the ‘Brisbane Quadrella’.

“Rockliff, Hanley, Zorko and Martin just might be the in-form midfield in the competition,” Robinson wrote in his The Tackle column on the Superfooty website.

“Rockliff we know is a star and this season an All Australian, Hanley might be the most improved midfielder in the league, Zorko is the electric avenue and Martin, well, what can you say about Martin.

“(Martin) had 32 disposals against the Pies, seven marks, three clearances and 27 hit outs. He is Dean Cox reincarnated. Don’t get pantsy, I didn’t say he was better or even as good at the same age as Cox, I’m saying he is the best ruckman/midfielder playing right now. Which makes the question about what to do with Matthew Leuenberger all the more intriguing.”

The foursome all posted big numbers again last Saturday night, but more on that in our Stats Breakdown which will appear soon on lions.com.au.
