If you are an AFL Coach and had to choose the type of headache to have surely selection headache would be the one you would choose every time.

Lions continue strong start to pre-season

As the Lions head towards Rd1 Justin Leppitsch is set to have plenty of selection headaches with a number of players putting their hand up.

"The selection headaches aren't going to go away.

"There's some guys pushing up really well. Even Jaden McGrath as a late draft pick last year, his work and ability to create a contest and add some pace around our half-forward line is really impressive.

"There's some headaches."

With Rd1 still a few weeks away, Leppitsch has to face the immediate selection headache of cutting his squad down and trying to fit Allen Christensen in ahead of the Lions final NAB Challenge match.

"We've got to take 2 more out for the next game and still find room for Allen Christensen, so those selection headaches won't go away."

The Lions have next weekend off before taking on the Suns at Metricon Stadium in their final NAB Challenge match on Friday 20th March.
