Last Week’s Events

Jack Redden (MID, $575,000) stepped up against the Roo’s barrage and stood strong, scoring a team high 101 from 28 touches and eight marks. Unfortunately, he was left hanging to some extent, although Stefan Martin (RUC, $604,000) battled away against Todd Goldstein (Who had the game of his life with 153 Fantasy points) for 94 points with 22 hit outs and a goal. My Fantasy team certainly felt the absence on Tom Rockliff, and so did Dayne Beams (MID, $561,000) who had a very disappointing game with 53 points after managing just one mark and two tackles. Daniel Rich (MID, $329,000) did his job, continuing to rise in price after scoring 75.

On the Radar

Despite rising $61,000 since the start of the year, Daniel Rich is still heavily under-priced for a player averaging 93. He has a break-even of just 13 points, so he is once again set to make a significant amount of money this week. Unfortunately a ‘trade-out’ is also on the radar after Matthew Leuenberger (RUC, $289,000) had a shocking game, scoring just 33 point, bringing his average down to 55 and causing his break even to jump to 51.

What’s Coming Up?

In good news, the Lions are back at the Gabba where they should score more freely, especially against the Tigers who leaked a lot of Fantasy points last week.  Last year when we met them at the Den, Tom Rockliff dominated against them with 32 touches, but of the available players this week, Dayne Zorko (FWD/MID, $495,000) lead the way with nine marks and four goals contributing to his score of 101. Expect Jack Redden to step up this week and hopefully Dayne Beams can find some form and mirror his 131 point effort against them last year.
