Justin Clarke has been discharged from hospital after being cleared of serious injury following a head clash at training yesterday afternoon.

Lions officials said the 21-year-old defender was in good spirits resting at home but will be monitored for concussion symptoms by Lions medical staff during the week. A decision will then be made on when he will return to training.

Clarke fell to the ground heavily at Coorparoo after copping a stray knee in a pack mark contest. He was attended to by Lions medical staff before being taken to hospital in a neck brace by ambulance. Fortunately scans last night revealed no break or fracture to his neck.
