Following a first-up win against Gold Coast, Chris Fagan may be reluctant to make too many changes ahead of Saturday night's home match against Essendon, but he has one tough decision.

Former Collingwood fullback Jack Frost is available after serving a one-match suspension, but squeezing him in past one of Harris Andrews, Dan McStay or Darcy Gardiner would be difficult after they performed so well.

The Lions emerged with a clean bill of health following Saturday's win over the SUNS.

2016 draftee Jarrod Berry performed well in his first match following minor knee surgery in last weekend's NEAFL practice match.

It is expected the 19-year-old will play in the Round 1 NEAFL match on Saturday against the Sydney Swans as he builds on match fitness.

Highly-fancied draft pick Hugh McCluggage (ankle) and second year forward Josh Schache (knee) are likely another week away.
