The Brisbane Lions were defeated by 51 points by the North Melbourne Kangaroos on Saturday afternoon at the Gabba.

Daniel Rich was excellent in defence for the Lions and finished with 24 disposals (14 contested), four inside 50s and one goal. 

Alex Witherden grabbed a team-high 27 disposals and produced eight rebound 50s. 

Dayne Zorko kicked two goals and collected 26 disposals.

Darcy Gardiner was strong in defence and tallied 20 disposals, six marks and five one percenters. 

Josh Walker notched a game-high four contested marks and secured 15 disposals (nine contested). 

Tom Rockliff bagged two majors.
