Mitch Robinson is a competitor.

That fact was on full display during today's game simulation sessions during Day 4 of the Lions' pre-season camp in Launceston.

Robinson was boisterous and full of energy as he relished the contested work that suits his aggressive style of play perfectly.

After missing most of 2017 with a broken foot, Robinson has his eyes on a spot in the Lions' forward line in 2018.

"They'll have to try pretty hard to take it off me, it's my spot," Robinson said.

"I like the half-forward role.

"It's always good to have competitiveness in the group.

"Charlie and Cam Rayner's come in and he looks very silky smooth. I see him playing more midfield, so the midfielders should be worried, not me."
