The Brisbane Lions have named a strong 26-man squad for Saturday's JLT Community Series match against the Sydney Swans.

Key defender Harris Andrews will captain the Lions for the clash and he makes up a back six that includes Sam Mayes, Dan McStay, Darcy Gardiner, Nick Robertson and Alex Witherden.

Daniel Rich and Ryan Lester are named on the wings while new recruit Charlie Cameron is set to make his first appearance in a Lions guernsey in the midfield. Stef Martin, Jarrod Berry and Rhys Mathieson are named as the followers.

Eric Hipwood is named as the only tall in an exciting forward line. He will be flanked by five small forwards in Lewy Taylor, Hugh McCluggage, Mitch Robinson, Allen Christensen and No. 1 draft pick Cam Rayner.

Aside from Rayner, defender Jack Payne is the only other new draftee named in the squad and will start on the interchange bench.

The experienced trio of Dayne Beams, Dayne Zorko and Luke Hodge won't play in the match.

Backline Coach Murray Davis will coach the team for the game.

The Lions' final team will be named 90 minutes prior to bounce.
