The Brisbane Lions have been forced to make a late team change for today’s match against Hawthorn, with veteran Luke Hodge out.

Hodge received a knock to his calf earlier in the week. He was given every opportunity to overcome the injury, but to minimise the risk of further soft tissue damage, he will miss today’s game.

Emerging defender Cedric Cox replaces Hodge in the team.

Cox has played two Senior matches this year in his second season with the Lions since being drafted.

A skilful and quick player, Cox has been in terrific form in the NEAFL the past month.

Bounce is at 1.45pm today and the match is live on Channel 7 in South East Queensland.
