Harris moving forward Harris Andrews discusses his recovery from concussion and the exciting news that he has now been cleared to return to action.

Brisbane Lions Vice-Captain Harris Andrews will be eligible for selection next week, after passing all remaining concussion tests.

Andrews suffered a severe concussion and small bleed on the brain after an incident in the team’s Round 14 loss to the GWS Giants.

The Lions' Medical Team received the positive results this morning, meaning Andrews can now participate in contact work at training.

“I had my last bit of testing on Wednesday and got the all clear,” Andrews told lions.com.au.

Senior Coach Chris Fagan told media in Brisbane this morning that Andrews will be eligible for selection next week.

“I’m looking forward to hopefully finding my way back into the team. The boys have been going pretty good over the past couple of weeks,” Andrews said.

General Manager of Football David Noble said the team and staff are happy to see Andrews back to full health.

“Our medical team and the respective specialists have been diligent in their assessment to allow Harris to return to playing,” Noble said.

“Every concussion protocol was followed with great care and caution.

“We look forward to seeing Harris back out on the field.”
