Brisbane Lions General Manager of Football David Noble has labelled the Club's popularity during the AFL Trade Period as a nice problem to have.

Live in studio on SEN Breakfast this morning, Noble explained why he believed the Lions have become the Club of choice for a number of trade hopefuls.

"I think we're really a united Club and we want to grow both our people and our players," Noble said.

"We're a Club that wants to go places... certainly the cultural piece has caught fire for us and people want to jump on board.

"It's a great thing to have."

With Lincoln McCarthy secured through a trade with Geelong on Monday, the list management team have shifted their attention towards acquiring Fremantle's Lachie Neale.

Noble is hopeful the Club will be able to get a deal done, despite having been met initially with opposition from Fremantle as the 25-year-old is contracted with the Dockers until the end of 2019.

“We’ll do everything we can to get him to our Club. I think our fans would want us to get a player of that calibre and it would be fantastic and exciting for us," he said.

“We are seeing more movement of players in contract now.

“We’re confident that we feel we can get a deal done.”
