Since 1993 Reclink has been running the Community Cup to raise funds for their continuing work in supporting disadvantaged Australians.

Reclink Australia provides evidence-based sport and art programs to disadvantaged Australians to create socially inclusive, life-changing opportunities.

In partnership with more than 200 community organisations, Reclink Australia's programs create pathways to improved health and wellbeing, education and employment outcomes for all participants.

The Brisbane Lions have been proud partners of Reclink since they first brought the Community Cup to Brisbane in 2016. Through support of team training in the lead up to the game along and match day involvement, we are proud to promote the impactful work that Reclink do in the wider Brisbane community.

The Big Issue

The Brisbane Lions are proud to support The Big Issue annually through the Footy Sales Challenge and in International Vendors week to raise the profile of The Big Issue and raise funds for disadvantaged Australians.

In 2016 The Big Issue conducted the Footy Sales Challenge which involved teams from across the football codes including the Brisbane Lions, Brisbane Broncos, Carlton FC, Greater Western Sydney Giants, Melbourne Storm, Port Adelaide, Queensland Reds and Sydney Swans.

Over a 30-minute period teams are paired with a Big Issue vendor to sell as many magazines as possible with all profit going to the vendor.

We couple our support of this program with CEO Selling Campaign in International vendors week where Greg Swann and Bree Brock both put on the Big Issue fluro vest to help sell magazines and raise funds for local vendors.

The Brisbane Lions are extremely proud to continue to be a part of these campaigns and look forward to being involved into the future. For more information please visit
