Despite being the competition's hottest team, milestone man Daniel Rich says Brisbane has no right to be complacent and needs to continue playing with a "hunt mentality".

Sunday's 48-point triumph over Port Adelaide was the Lions' fourth straight victory, a feat the club has not accomplished since the opening month of the 2010 season.

On Saturday night they host North Melbourne in Rich's 200th game, a contest he says the Lions have to be laser-focused for.

"We're not speaking about four or five wins in a row, I didn't even think about that," Rich said on Tuesday morning.

"Win, lose or draw you move onto the next game pretty quick.

"We're at a point where we're going into every game with that hunt mentality and we want to play really well.

"I don't think we've got any right as a group or team to get complacent or get too far ahead of ourselves."

Victory over Port showed another side to Brisbane's development, warding off the opposition's attempts to intimidate midfield prime-mover Lachie Neale.

Rich said as the Lions improved, their players would be "taken more seriously" but it wouldn't affect their approach.

"As ‘Fages’ mentioned (post-match), we've got a fair bit of depth through our midfield especially and through the whole side.

"If they want to go after one, then there's other guys that are going to get off the chain.

"We're going to be there to support each other.

"The number-one focus is the ball, but within the rules we'll back up our teammates."
