Three Brisbane Lions are now working through rehabilitation after being injured in the recent days.

Allen Christensen (collarbone), Josh Schache (knee) and Jono Freeman (cheekbone) are all on the mend but will miss games in coming weeks.

Christensen had surgery yesterday to insert a plate and is expected to miss 8-10 weeks – it was the same collarbone he broke in Round 11 last season against Carlton at Etihad Stadium.

Schache did not require surgery after receiving a low-grade medial ligament strain in a contact drill at training and will miss the remainder of the JLT Community Series.

The young forward has already started rehab and is expected to return in Round 1 or 2 of the Premiership season.
