Brisbane Lions’ Eric Hipwood spoke to Fox Footy about the Multicultural guernsey he will don in Sunday’s clash with West Coast in Perth.

The guernsey says “Welcome” in 30 different languages, with 18 different flags displayed. The design celebrates the Lions players and supporters diverse culture.

Hipwood admits once the siren sounds at Domain Stadium, he will expect anything less than a warm welcome from West Coast.

“I know they’ll come out strong after a shock loss but if we play our way the result will look after itself,” Hipwood said.

The Eagles will be searching for retribution against the Lions. Last round against Collingwood they sacrificed a four-goal lead in the final term to lose by eight points, which in turn pushed them out of the top eight.

Hipwood says the Lions are full of confidence after defeating Carlton and can match the Eagles on Sunday afternoon.

“We’re finally seeing results.  It shows on the weekend we can play four quarters,” Hipwood said.

The Brisbane Lions meet West Coast on Sunday at 2:40pm (4.40pm AEST) at Domain Stadium.
