An unchanged side has been named for Saturday night's clash against Adelaide Crows at the Gabba.

In what will be the Brisbane Lions' 500th game, the home side will be hunting for their fourth successive win for the first time since Round 1-4 of 2010.

After missing last weekend's match against Hawthorn, Luke Hodge (calf) will miss the match against Adelaide, with young defender Cedric Cox holding his spot in the side.

In Hodge's absence, and with Harris Andrews still sidelined, Josh Walker produced one of the best games of his career against the Hawks.

Despite missing their skipper Tex Walker through suspension, Adelaide still possesses a powerful forward which Walker will need to be at his best to combat.

The Lions have developed winning momentum in recent weeks, but Senior Coach Chris Fagan is under no illusions about what awaits his side on Saturday night.

"We've been on an improvement curve for a while but in the past have struggled to play hard enough for long enough," Fagan said.

"Just lately they've been able to go the distance and it's made a huge difference.

"It'll get a stern test against Adelaide at the Gabba."

Bounce is at 7.25pm AEST on Saturday, with the match to be televised on Fox Footy nationwide and 7mate in South East Queensland.
