There were plenty of electric moments from the Brisbane Lions on Saturday night but Lincoln McCarthy's incredible mark in the third quarter is a clear standout.

The forward's spectacular leap over the back of his Port Adelaide opponent had the Gabba crowd impressed, but none more so than his teammate Mitch Robinson, who was looked flabbergasted by McCarthy's brilliance. McCarthy went on to covert the set-shot with a clean snap goal from the right pocket.

Accordingly, McCarthy's mark has been nominated for Round 3 Mark of the Year. He is up against GWS Giant's Jeremy Cameron and Western Bulldogs' Aaron Naughton.
