Luke Hodge is expected to play against Fremantle this Sunday at Optus Stadium after being named in Senior Coach Chris Fagan’s 26-man squad.

Hodge was a late exclusion in Round 9’s win over Adelaide due to a sore calf. This weekend’s match will now mark his 333rd AFL game, equally Fitzroy legend Kevin Murray.

Jarrod Berry has been ruled out of the Dockers clash due to a sore knee. His teammate Rhys Mathieson will also not travel to the West after accepting a one match suspension for striking.

Hugh McCluggage has been named in the centerline in what will be his 50th AFL match.

Allen Christensen, Josh Walker, Nick Robertson, Mitch Hinge, Lewis Taylor, Ryan Lester, Connor Ballenden and Archie Smith have been named on the extended bench. Four names will be excluded tomorrow afternoon when the final team is announced.

Sunday’s game also marks the first-time Lachie Neale will play against his former club, the Dockers.

The gun midfielder said the Lions are keen for a convincing win on the road.

“It is a really important game and a good chance for us to go over as a group and get an away win,” he said.

“They’re hard to come by.”

Fagan’s final team will be named tomorrow at 5pm.
