Dayne Beams continued to amaze on Saturday, producing another remarkable performance while his wife Kelly was laid up in hospital.
Beams led the way for Brisbane with 40 disposals in its 55-point win over Carlton, coming at the end of another tough personal week.

"So I've had a fairly full-on week at home being a single mum of two.
"It's been a big week for me, but that's life, you deal with it. It's going to throw you different challenges at times, but it's the way you respond that builds character."
Since Carter's birth, Beams has put together two best on ground performances in two Brisbane wins, following 33 touches and 12 clearances against Fremantle last Sunday.
"The birth of his son has seemed to have catapulted him," Lions coach Chris Fagan said.
"He was terrific today as he was last week and set a great example to his teammates and no doubt had a big influence on why we won the game today."
Beams stood down as Brisbane's captain six weeks ago, struggling to cope with the death of his father Philip in March.
