Harris Andrews is confident he will play in Brisbane's qualifying final against Richmond.

Andrews tore his hamstring in the Lions' round 15 clash against Collingwood and was initially expected to miss up to six weeks.

However, after responding quicker than anticipated to treatment, the 2019 All Australian said he only needs another strong week to put his name in the selection frame.

"I got a little bit of training in this morning and will have a really good hit-out on Friday," he said.

"If everything goes to plan and I tick a few boxes, I'll be ready to go."

Andrews said he had been "pretty aggressive" with the rehab, something the Lions have done with hamstring injuries to any player.

The 23-year-old was running two days after the tear, slowly, and doing strength work shortly after.

"The way the club handles hamstrings is probably a little bit different to what some other clubs go through.

"We're pretty aggressive in the way that once you do your 'string you get moving pretty quickly.

"I've recovered pretty well."

"If I can tick the boxes over the next five or six days, I give myself a pretty good chance."

Brisbane will face a Richmond outfit it has lost 15 straight times to, with forwards Tom Lynch and Jack Riewoldt combining for seven goals when the Tigers won by 41 points in their round 10 clash.

Midfielder Jarrod Berry has also recovered from a shoulder injury that kept him out of Brisbane's past two games and will be available to play.
