The Lions will introduce the third new face of the season when Indy Tahu makes her debut against Adelaide at Hickey Park tomorrow.

The 18-year-old joins veteran Rheanne Lugg as the two changes to the undefeated Lions.

Tahu was drafted with the Club’s second pick, number 37 overall, in last year’s NAB AFLW draft.

The athletic utility will be familiar to the Crows having been a standout in the SANFLW prior to being drafted.

She also has some big game experience having been named best on ground for South Adelaide in the 2019 SANFLW Grand Final when she was only sixteen.

Coach Craig Starcevich said it was exciting to see what she would bring to the AFLW side.

“She’s incredibly versatile, athletic and strong in the contest which should hold her in good stead,’’ he said.

“And she’s had some experience behind her in big games so we are excited to see what she can do at the next level.’’

Tahu will be the Club’s second AFLW debutant of the season following Courtney Hodder with former Sun Taylor Smith the other player to make their first appearance for the Lions.

Midfielder Lugg returns after missing the opening rounds with a rib injury suffered in a pre-season scratch match against the Gold Coast Suns.

Lugg is also a familiar face to the opposition having started her AFLW career with Adelaide.

Last week’s Rising Star nominee Nat Grider comes out of the side with a hand injury while Jordan Zanchetta has been omitted.
