Brisbane is making another serious charge towards the premiership this season and Zac Bailey is becoming a key cog in the Lions' flag assault.

The youngster has had a great season so far and underlined just how special a talent he is against the Crows on Saturday.

Bailey starred with 26 touches, nine clearances and three goals – including a mesmerising effort in the third term when he took the ball from a stoppage, danced around a Crows opponent, glided inside 50 and coolly slotted it.

Saturday's effort was the fourth time Bailey has kicked 3 goals or more in a game. He kicked 3 goals against Sydney in Round 1 and has kicked 4 goals against both Richmond and Melbourne.

The powerful speedsters ability to damage the scoreboard is becoming critical to the Lions

Coach Chris Fagan said post-game that Bailey had the potential to become one of the best midfielders of the competition, and given his electric speed and goalkicking prowess, it seems the young gun has a bright future ahead of him.

"Zac's speed and agility is outstanding and he's starting to win more of the footy," Fagan said.

"He can become a really good player and he'll continue to learn from our senior guys like Lachie Neale, Jarryd Lyons and Dayne Zorko.

"He's still very young so he's still got a long way to go, but it's exciting to see the way he's developing."
