The Brownlow medalist missed last week’s commanding 52-point victory over Adelaide with a minor calf complaint.

He trained that morning in Melbourne with the emergency players who did not make the FIFO trip to Adelaide and rejoined the main group for sessions on Tuesday and today.

James Madden also makes his return after hand surgery. The Irishman made his debut against Port Adelaide and has performed admirably every time he has been given an opportunity this season.

Jarrod Berry will miss with a calf injury while Rhys Mathieson has been omitted.

It continues a horror run with injuries for Berry this season. He has managed just four games and made his first appearance in ten weeks against the Crows on Saturday.

The Covid situation in Brisbane has forced the game to be moved to Metricon Stadium which brings Dayne Zorko home for his 200th game.

While the Lions have not been back to Brisbane for over a week and Saturday’s clash will be the second time the Club has been forced to move a home game this season, Zorko one is content to be playing on the Gold Coast.

“To play such a special milestone in my home town of the Gold Coast is pretty special,’’ he said.

“Funnily enough Fages was able to coach his 100th game in Tasmania, JL (Jarryd Lyons) started in Adelaide and played his 150th there last week and this week it's my turn on the Gold Coast.

“It's fitting how it's happened.

He has called on footy fans from the Gold Coast and Brisbane to make it a night to remember.

“I'd like to encourage everyone to get there,’’ he said.

“Can we organize a sellout? It would be magnificent to pack out Metricon Stadium.

“All my family is going to be there, they'll travel from Brisbane, and I've still got some really strong connections on the Gold Coast with family.’’
