Rounds 19 - 21 of the Smithy's VFL competition have been locked in.

The Brisbane Lions face a challenging draw, set with two Victorian away trips against Richmond and Sandringham as well as a home clash against eighth placed Werribee.

Like their AFL teammates, the last month of the VFL fixture appears a shaping one for the Lions, who will look to capitalise on their strong form to cement a place in the top-four.

With a relatively healthy list, Brisbane have fielded upwards of 16 AFL listed players regularly and are playing some of their most consistent football in recent memory.

Midfield bull, Rhys Mathieson's last four games have been nothing short of electrifying from a numbers point-of-view. The 25-year-old has collected 49, 23, 43 and 39 disposals respectively and has been more damaging than ever, racking up a massive 45 clearances in his last month of football.

Having dropped down from Chris Fagan's 22, Darcy Fort has dominated in the ruck and will be a vital piece of the puzzle in Brisbane's premiership hunt. The former Cat's fortnight has been commanding, amassing 60 hitouts, 40 disposals, 19 clearances and 3 goals.
