The Brisbane Lions off field team has continued to grow with the club welcoming six new sponsors to the Partner Family ahead of the 2024 Premiership season.

Brisbane Lions Chief Executive Officer, Greg Swann, said commercial demand for access to the Lions was the highest it has ever been during his time at the club.

“I’m pleased to welcome Tyrepower (2 years), Star Liquor (2 years), The Westin Brisbane (2 years), The Advertising Works (2 years) and Body Science Energy (1 year) into our sponsor family ahead of a massive year for the club.” he said.

“They join the club in addition to the recently announced partnership with Brooke’s Blooms (2 years) who will take over naming rights of the Verandah at the Gabba.

“Our commercial team has successfully renewed a significant portfolio of existing partners including Southern Cross Austereo, Containers for Change, Qscan, Alphasport, Cross River Rail, Body Science and SEN

“Off the field we’ve had a good off season being able to expand our corporate reach off the back of an incredibly strong on-field performance in 2023.”

“This year we have a number of different targets we are pursuing both on and off the field. Across our home games at the Gabba and our growing broadcast audience, the club will have more eyes on it than ever before. It is a really exciting time to be part of the Lions.

“The strength of commercial partners is something we as a Club have focussed on over the last few years and this is beginning to come to fruition and these new partners are proof of that.

“From a club perspective, we’ve passed 45,000 Members already and are aiming to break the 60,000 mark for the first time, a few years ago this would’ve been unthinkable and our sponsorship portfolio continues to grow.

“This is thanks, in large part, to sustained on field success in both our Men’s and Women’s programs, with our AFLW team winning a premiership and the AFL team playing in their first Grand Final since 2004.

“We also owe a lot to our increasing member and fan base, we had seven sell outs at the Gabba last season and an enormous spike in average crowds for the season.

“In turn we have been rewarded with big games in excellent broadcast timeslots, kicking off with Carlton at Opening Round, Collingwood on Easter Thursday and a Thursday night MCG fixture against Melbourne in Round 5.”

The Lions kick off their 2024 campaign against Carlton at a sold out Gabba on Friday (March 8).
