The AFL today released the remainder of the 2025 AFL fixture with the Brisbane Lions set to host four Gabba blockbusters in the backend of the season.
In a treat for Lions members and fans, the Lions will welcome Port Adelaide (Saturday 5 July, 7.35pm), the Western Bulldogs (Friday 18 July, 7.40pm), Sydney (Saturday 9 August, 4.15pm) and Hawthorn (TBC) to Queensland following their Round 16 bye.
The Lions will also take two trips to Melbourne with a Thursday night fixture against Carlton at Marvel Stadium (Thursday 10 July, 7.30pm) and a Saturday night rendezvous with Collingwood at the MCG (Saturday 2 August, 7.35pm).
In other fixtures, the Lions will head west to play the Dockers (Optus Stadium, Friday 15 August, 6.20pm)) and head back down the M1 for the much-anticipated QClash29 against the SUNS (People First Stadium, Saturday 26 July, 1.20pm).
With four games slated against current top eight teams, the Lions are set to play in some of the biggest games of each round on the run home.
Brisbane Lions CEO, Greg Swann said with the team’s early season success so far, the Club is forecasting more sold out Gabba crowds to round out the home and away season.
“Being seven wins through nine rounds so far this season is a very encouraging place to be as a football club and we are expecting more bumper crowds in the second half of the season,” he said.
“We’ve had three Gabba sell outs already this season. We expect we’ll break our membership record soon and hit 70,000 by the end of the year.
“We’re also going to see some topline players return from long term injuries which will make the competition for spots hotter than ever before.
“We are imploring our fanbase to guarantee a seat at every Gabba home game that the best way to do that is through a Lions membership.”
