The Brisbane Lions have received a boost of experience ahead of Saturday’s clash against GWS at the Gabba with a key duo set to return from injury.
Premiership defender Brandon Starcevich and forward-ruck Sam Day bring more than 280 games of experience into the Lions team.
Starcevich has been named to play his second game for 2025 after recovering from a concussion in Round 1 against Sydney.
While Day has been sidelined since Round 8 with a hamstring strain suffered during the Lions’ QClash win over Gold Coast.
To make way for the added experience, young forward Ty Gallop and midfielder Deven Robertson go out of the side to face the GIANTS.
Day looks set to start on the interchange along with Kai Lohmann, Levi Ashcroft, Zac Bailey and Darcy Wilmot.
With ruckman Oscar McInerney, utility Darcy Gardiner and midfielder James Tunstill the three emergencies for Brisbane.
Saturday’s match, is scheduled for a 1:20pm start, will be broadcast live on Fox Footy and Kayo.
