A Brisbane Lions academy product, Courtney Murphy returns to Australia in 2023 following a stint over in the United States of America playing college basketball. Murphy was part of the 2016 Queensland Youth Girls squad which also included premiership player Sophie Conway. Standing at 183cm tall, Murphy was known for her three-point shooting and athleticism on the basketball court but will provide another tall target for the Lions.
