The Brisbane Lions have launched the biggest social event on Brisbane’s 2013 calendar as the Club prepares to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of going Back to Back to Back

The Vero 3-Peat Anniversary Luncheon will be held on Thursday, March 21, 2013 from 12 noon at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, CEO Malcolm Holmes announced today.

Holmes was joined by the Lions’ Premiership-winning coach, Leigh Matthews, current Senior Coach and Premiership-winning skipper, Michael Voss, current captain Jonathan Brown, Simon Black, Jamie Charman and Ash McGrath in unveiling the special event.

“As you’re aware - 2013 is a special year for this Club, as it marks the 10th year since the Brisbane Lions achieved the previously unthinkable in the modern era: Back to Back to Back Premierships,” he said, while also announcing that Vero, the Lions’ new major partner for the next four year, had taken up naming rights to the event.

“As part of our celebrations, we are today launching one of our key events for 2013, the Vero 3-Peat Anniversary Luncheon.

“The luncheon will be held on Thursday, March 21, 2013 from 12 noon at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre.

“As you can appreciate, it’s not an easy task getting together 28 of our Club’s greats from around the country, so we felt a lunch just before the season commences was our best chance.

“And when you consider some of the names that will be present - Leigh, Vossy, Browny, Blacky, Charmo and Ash among them, we hope as many of our members and fans as possible will be able to join us for what will be the biggest social event on Brisbane’s calendar next year.”

The entire 2013 Lions’ squad will also be in attendance at the luncheon that includes a three-course lunch, premium beverages, entertainment and countless stories from the remarkable era of success.

Tickets to the event can be purchased via lions.com.au, email at sales@lions.com.au, or by calling (07) 3335 1777.
