What excites you most about the youngsters coming through into the Lions Den?
Michael Keating from Geelong (VIC)

Just how good they are.

Lewy Taylor and James Aish look like they’re going to have long careers.

Hi mate love your work as a small forward and really miss watching you tear it up. We have a lot of tall types on our list – who do you think is most likely to fill the shoes left by Browny and who impresses you the most out of them?
Andrew Morwell from Morwell (VIC)

I think big Closey will get more of a crack at the end of this year.

Hopefully the big fella can take over from where Browny left off.

We call him ‘Little Jon’ because he wants to be just like Browny. Hopefully he can.

Who has the deepest pockets at the Club?
Ron D from Melbourne (VIC)

Daniel Rich. He’s got deep pockets and short arms.

He’s known to charge the young kids that are living with him for dinner. Nothing’s free at Richy’s house.

If you go around and ask for a piece of bread, you’ll be stung $5 for each slice.

Can you please explain the strong bond between Zac O'Brien and James Polkinghorne? Are they ever separated?
Mark M from Brisbane (VIC)

It’s probably because they have the same sort of nose.

They say you can have strength in packs, and because they both cop a bit of flack about having long noses, maybe they feel better if they stick together.

Hey Ash, do you have a pre-game ritual?
Ben Richmond from Hobart (TAS)

Yeah, I stay away from Tom Rockliff. He’s known to get on my nerves, even on my days off.

Being around him before a game isn’t good for any player.

How do you feel the boys are progressing with their game?
Dylan Perry from Perth (WA)

It was always going to be hard with a new game plan – most game plans take a year to get used to.

You’ve just got to stick with it, and things will turn around.

Ash, who is the best Indigenous player you have played with and against?
Ben Stevenson from Melbourne (VIC)

I was lucky enough to play on my childhood idol Peter Matera when he was coming to the end of his career.

I also got to play on blokes like Gavin Wanganeen.

I got to play with blokes like Darryl White and Chris Johnson – they’re the main ones.

Ash, James Aish has South Australia in his D.N.A. What can the club do to keep him at the LIONS long term?
Kerry Scriven from Ipswich (QLD)

He does have South Australia in his DNA, so we’ll just have to get him out in the sun to knock that out of him.

And we’ll get him some pineapples, so he can get some of that ‘Queenslander’ in him.

If you could own any car, what would it be?
Jeremy Porter from Melbourne (VIC)

I’m big on Prius cars. I’d love to have a Prius.

They’re cheap on fuel and really good for the environment.

Ash, should you go back so Sam Mayes can go forward? Or are you a better forward?
Bob Trotter from Brisbane (QLD)

No. Maysey’s got the legs to chase those quick little forwards around.

I’m after Browny’s job, so if I could not leave the forward 50m, that would be great.

Of all the players out there that are 'up for grabs' at the end of the season, who would you say the Lions should chase after the most?
Wacko Jacko from Brisbane (QLD)

There’s one bloke that the Lions should chase after, and his name is Ash McGrath.

I’m out of contract this year so it would be great if they could fling me another one.

Do any of the Lions play musical instruments (other than the guitar) and what do they play? Are there any singers among the boys (apart from singing the Lions song which I'm sure we'll be doing a lot more of soon!)?
Lillian Lehr from Brisbane (QLD)

Joel Patfull rates himself on the triangle.

He’s not that smart, so just knows how to do the ‘tings’.

Joel Patfull also likes to get the vacuum cleaner out and tries to play it like a didgeridoo. It’s actually quite funny to watch.

A lot of the boys are good at the recorder, after learning it in Primary School.

As for who the best singer is at the Club, it would have to be Tom Cutler. He has the voice of an angel.

Ash, if they turned the club into the Big Brother House, who would you vote out first and why?
Jamie Simmons from Springfield (QLD)

Probably Tom Rockliff.

Could you fill me in on what's happening with Brent Moloney? Where is he? Is he injured? When will he be back? Thanks.
Lynne Parker from Burpengary (QLD)

Beamer’s been playing in the twos. He’ll be back soon hopefully.
