You won a flag very early in your career. How frustrating has it been for you to have hardly played finals since then?
Derek Mathieson from Brisbane (QLD)

Yeah it is frustrating that we haven’t played many Finals. You play footy to win premierships, so it has been a bit frustrating, but that’s just the way it goes.

Blokes like Robert Harvey played 16-17 years without playing in a premiership – so I count myself lucky that I got one.

Hey Ash, what do you think of our new crop of Brissie players? I am really impressed by their quality and hope we learn our lesson from the past and find a way to hold on to them all.
John Thomas from Melbourne (VIC)

We just have to make sure they enjoy their time up in Brisbane, and give them some games.

It seems like a lot of footy players are on the budgy smuggler bandwagon. Is this true for the Lions?
Max Atkinson from Dubbo (NSW)

I haven’t seen any budgy smugglers getting around at the Lions.

Most of the boys wear boxer shorts. So if anyone from budgy smugglers wants to sponsor us, get up here because we’ve got the weather to wear them around.

Hey Ash have a slight idea but want your thought on the direction the Club is heading. I thought we were coming through that rebuilding stage but when we lost all those players last year, how far has it set us back?
Liam Atherton from Horsham (VIC)

Those boys were a big loss, but the crop we’ve got coming through now should get us back up there pretty quick.

Who is the slowest player over 50 metres? Surely Browny?
Dan Smith from Melbourne (VIC)

Rockliff.

Do you know some popular nicknames for the boys at the club (maybe a few funny ones...)? Thanks Ash!
Rueben Coleman from Bundaberg (QLD)

Sam Michael has a good one, we call him DADS – I’ll let you work out what it stands for...

We used to call Ryan Lester 'Froggy' because he would always wear the green vest.

I've noticed on Twitter that a lot of Lions players have little puppy dogs that are like babies to them (Rockliff is one). Sometimes they seems to get members of the Ressies to look after them while they are interstate. What is going on with puppies and the Lions?
Matt Goudie from Brisbane (QLD)

Tom Rockliff is a serial Tweeter. He's always Tweeting photos of his sausage dog. I personally wouldn't be posting so many photos of something that looks like that...

There are a lot of boys who have some pretty strange dogs.

There are some little fluffy ones like Claye Beams’ and also on top of that he’s got a hairless cat – I don’t know what’s going on there.

Hi Ash, what plans do you have for the future when you've finished your playing career?
Ric Nilson from Brisbane (QLD)

I’ve answered this one before, but I’m pretty big on politics.

I voted for the Greens, so would be trying to get into that type of work.

Who's the most effeminate guy at the Club?
Eliza Rooney from Toowoomba (QLD)

Probably Brent Staker.

We used to have the Firebirds come in and use the gym on Sundays, and we’d come in thinking they were still in there, but it would be Brent Staker in there instead lifting weights. He can wear a lot of girly perfume.

I’ll put Joel Patfull in there as well. He’s known to use foundation on his face.

Hi Ash, who are the intellectual heavyweights amongst the playing group?
Matt Muscio from Avalon Beach (NSW)

Justin Clarke – he can explain anything to you about flying.

And probably Dadsy (Sam Michael). He loves his game shows and answering all the questions.
