The Brisbane Lions would be nothing without its loyal band of members, so it’s important to recognise those people who invest their money, time, and voice to help support the Club.

As has become customary in recent years, the Lions dedicate their final matches of the season in both Melbourne and Brisbane to acknowledging the contribution of the Club’s members.

Last Saturday night, 50 Victorian-based members who had attended every Melbourne match in 2014 were selected to form a guard of honour for the players as they entered the MCG arena.

And the occasion couldn’t have been scripted better, with the Lions running out 67-point winners over Collingwood.

Three luck members – Tony Dew, Dean Black, and Rachel Baker – won the exclusive opportunity to join the team in the rooms after the game, and receive a
personally signed match-worn jumper from one of the players.

This Sunday it’s Queensland’s turn, with the Club organising a range of special member-based activities surrounding the Round 22 clash with Fremantle – all thanks to Devine.

Not only will there be a guard of honour, a lap of honour, and a post-match guernsey presentation for selected members at the Gabba, but there will also be a chance to win a range of terrific prizes, including a Hyundai i30!

So the Club hopes all Brisbane-based members can head to the Gabba this Sunday, to help give the team a fitting home farewell to Season 2014.

The Brisbane Lions wishes to thank each and every one of its 24,013 members for Believing and Belonging this season.

We look forward to welcoming you, and hopefully many others, back on board in 2015.
