HUGH BEASLEY will make his senior debut for Brisbane against Greater Western Sydney on Sunday.

The Lions upgraded Rookies Jordon Bourke and Beasley to the Senior List, yesterday, in place of Claye Beams (knee) and Jackson Paine (ankle) who have been transferred to the Long Term Injury List.

MATCH PREVIEW: Lions vs Giants

Beasley, 19, was recruited from the Oakleigh Chargers in the VFL with the Club's 2nd selection in the 2014 AFL Rookie Draft at pick 22 overall.

He is the fourth 2014 draftee to debut this season following Jaden McGrath (Round 1), Harris Andrews (Round 3) and Liam Dawson (Round 8).

Beasley is one of five changes named ahead of the match with vice-captain, Pearce Hanley, the most experienced inclusion of the group.

FOLLOW GAME AT LIONS MATCH CENTRE

Hanley will play his first match of the season against the Giants after pre-season hip surgery and will give the side an older head in a side stacked with rookie talent.

"We do have a very young side. While that's not an excuse we do lack a little bit of leadership," he said.

"If I do bring anything on the weekend, it might not be much, but I'll definitely bring my leadership and voice out there."

Midfielder Sam Mayes will return to the side after a seven week lay-off with a stress reaction to his foot. Mayes spent several weeks in a moon boot before joining the Lions’ NEAFL side last weekend to gain match fitness.

Defender Jordon Bourke will play his second career game, following his debut in Rd 23, 2014, after impressing in the NEAFL. Tom Cutler has also earned a senior recall.

Captain Tom Rockliff (Ribs), Jed Adcock (calf), James Aish (jaw) and Ryan Harwood (concussion) are sidelined and defender Claye Beams (knee) has been ruled out for the season.
