In this week's Carlton Draught 'Throwback Thursday' we go back to Michael Voss's elevation to Legend status at the 2014 Hall of Fame event.

The three-time premiership captain joined former Fitzroy greats Kevin Murray and Haydn Bunton as the third official Lions Legend.

The elevation was only fitting after a 289-game playing career that saw three premierships in 2001, 2002 and 2003 as well as the 1996 Brownlow Medal and several other accolades.

On the night, Voss spoke of the honour it was to be elevated to Legend status alongside Murray and Bunton.

"The fact that I’m able to sit with Bunton and Murray - well if you had never sat back and looked at your own CV and you just saw theirs, and all of a sudden your name is beside them, well to borrow a line from BT… 'Wow-ee’,” Voss said at the Hall of Fame event.

“It’s quite incredible. This is the best individual honour that I’ve received in my life and I thank the club for that.

"Most of you see triumphs and highlights up here on stage but most of the guys that stood up here are great because it was their weakest moments it was what defined them, they found something else, something special.”
