A spot in the top four is up for grabs for Redland when they take on Brisbane in an AFL curtain closer at the Gabba on Saturday night.
The Bombers ran into some form before the bye last week after three wins in a row against Gold Coast (69 points), NT Thunder (27), and Sydney University (24).
They will look to continue the momentum against the Lions, who couldn’t make up for a slow start against Southport last week to lose by 27.
Brisbane has made several changes to its NEAFL squad, with Josh Walker, Claye Beams, Marco Paparone and Eric Hipwood – who will make his AFL debut – all elevated to the seniors.
Trent West, Nick Robertson and Dan McStay have been omitted from the AFL side, while ruckman Archie Smith is another key inclusion after suffering concussion against Canberra two weeks ago.
Redland has lost key utility Adrian Williams, with young guns Damian Steven and Elliott Himmelberg coming into the side for the 5.40pm clash.
