The Pokémon craze has well and truly hit the Gabba, and some of the younger boys at the Club are starting to call themselves true Pokémon Masters.

Speaking as a guest on this week's From The Players' Lounge podcast (to be released on lions.com.au tomorrow), Mel Lambert said that the Pokémon GO craze is alive and strong inside the Hyundai Centre, with 'carloads' of the boys looking for Pokémon on Monday night. And, when the server went down yesterday, Lambert said that she had to step up as Welfare Manager to keep the boys happy.

"I had to refill the lolly jar a couple of times today," she said.

We've decided to look at who the true Pokémon master is at the Club. Here are the Lions that you don't want to have a Pokémon battle against:

1. Liam Dawson

Pokémon Level: 9

Liam Dawson considers himself a Pokémon Master... in training. He's looking for his big fish, but taking his time to collect them first. He will look to "start upgrading soon."

Dawso's top 6:

 2. Reuben William

Pokémon Level: 9

The boys were all quick to tell us that Reuben William is a Pokémon master, and his top 6 is shaping up rather nicely.

Reuben's top 6:

3. Josh Clayton

Pokémon Level: 11

When surveyed, the boys came out with a clear leader in the Pokémon GO game, and that leader was Josh Clayton. He's level 11 and building. Soon, no Pokémon trainer will want to face Josh.

Josh's top 6:

4. Dan McStay

Pokémon Level: Yet to disclose

Dan McStay wasn't too happy with his 'Pokédex' so he sent this through. We think he found it on Facebook.

Definitely not Dan's top 6:

Other players to watch

Billy Evans, Rhys Mathieson & Sam Mayes

These boys all live under the same roof, and it is believed that they could silently be the best Pokémon trainers in the group. Unfortunately none of these boys wanted to disclose their Pokédex. Billy Evans is quoted as saying:

"I would do anything for you (Lions Media Team), but revealing my Pokédex is not one of them... Happy Hunting."

A wild Doduo appears on the Gabba surface.

Pokémon hunting around the Gabba:

Good news Pokémon trainers, Woolloongabba is a great spot to catch them all! There's also a gym on the block of the Gabba. See below.
