The Brisbane Lions have secured the services of midfielder Lewis Taylor until at least the end of 2019.

Taken at Pick 28 in the 2013 draft, Taylor won the NAB Rising Star in his first season at the Club. He has played 60 games for the Lions.

The 21-year-old was due to come out of contract at season's end, but is now tied to the Lions until the end of the 2019 season. He’s the 19th player to re-sign with the Club since the end of last season.

Brisbane Lions National Talent Manager Peter Schwab told lions.com.au that the popular Victorian has an exciting long term future at the Lions.

“It's fantastic to re-sign Lewy,” Schwab said.

“He’s a Rising Star winner and a really good long-term player for our Club.

“Lewy has now put the talk around his contract to bed and is focused on playing footy.

“He’s a popular member of the playing group both on and off the field and we are really happy that he is part of our future.”
