Brisbane Lions midfielder Lewis Taylor has identified the Club's exciting and youthful list as a major reason for his decision to sign on for another three years.

“With the young blokes we’ve got coming through, I think they have the potential to take us where we’re wanting to go.”

“It might take a couple of years but I think further down the track we’ll start winning a lot more games.”

After winning 2014’s NAB Rising Star Award, the Lions see Taylor as a key ingredient to the team’s future success.

Taylor remained modest when reflecting on his third season at the elite level and indicated hope for the coming seasons.

“If we can try and build on something and show that to the supporters, then next season will be something to look forward to.”

When asked if he thought there would be a turn around next season, Taylor remained upbeat.

“We’re not going as well as we’d like but I want to be here for that journey, when we start to go away and win games.”

“I want to be able to say that I was part of that rebuild at the Lions.”

“That’s obviously something pretty special, and something that we are all willing to work for and we’ll get there.”
