BRISBANE Lions' draftee Jarrod Berry has undergone minor knee surgery.

But Berry, taken at pick 17 in last year's NAB Draft, is expected to be available for the start of the season.

The inside midfielder, who turns 19 on Sunday, is already back on his feet after the surgery and could still be considered to play later in the JLT Community Series.

Berry was the Lions' second pick in the national draft, behind his close mate and No.3 selection Hugh McCluggage.
