SYDNEY has broken its duck for 2017 in emphatic fashion, defeating the Brisbane Lions by 54 points at the SCG on Sunday afternoon on the back of eight goals from Lance Franklin.

The Swans burst from the blocks and led by 35 points at quarter-time on the way to a 20.15 (135) to 12.9 (81) win.
