Eric Hipwood has been nominated for the AFL's Goal of the Year following a classy finish against Port Adelaide on Saturday night at Adelaide Oval.

Gathering the ball right on the boundary line, Hipwood showed off his pace to burn Jackson Trengrove, before selling the candy expertly to Tom Clurey and slamming the ball home.

Hipwood is up against Bryce Gibbs and Kieran Jack for this week's best goal.
