Picking a Player of the Round is a tricky proposition this week after numerous players turned in stunning performances in yesterday's 30-point victory over Carlton at the Gabba.

Dayne Beams produced a massive Captain's display, finishing with 30 disposals, three goals and four inside 50s.

Dayne Zorko also nailed three goals and ran riot with 26 disposals, five clearances and seven inside 50s

In just his fourth AFL game, Cedric Cox produced an exciting performance that will surely have him in the frame for a Rising Star nomination.

Cox thrilled the Gabba crowd with his first AFL goal and showing off his blistering speed and silky skills on the way to 18 disposals.

Alex Witherden also kicked his first AFL goal and kept up his streak of gathering 20 plus disposals for another week.

Jarrod Berry will be in the mix for a Rising Star nomination after producing a team-high six clearances and picking up a handy 21 disposals.

Tom Rockliff played a rare tagging role and earned plenty of praise from Chris Fagan in restricting Carlton star Bryce Gibbs to just eight disposals.

Stef Martin tallied 24 hit outs, 19 disposals and four clearances in a huge battle against Matthew Kreuzer.

After a quiet couple of weeks, Ryan Lester bounced back to form with a brilliant performance that saw him gather 26 disposals.

Dan McStay, Harris Andrews, Sam Mayes and Darcy Gardiner were all strong in defence, with Andrews tallying eight one percenters and Gardiner six rebound 50s.
