Robinson joined the Lions after playing 100 games with Carlton – he was delisted by the Blues at the end of last season.

“We’re really happy with the way Mitch is going and he seems very happy up here with his family.”

Davis said Robinson had added much-needed experience to the team, just the third youngest in the league.

“We don’t have a huge amount of 100 game players at the Club just yet and that’s one thing that he has brought (to the Club) is that experience”, he said.

“We’re still a young team and you need guys like Mitch Robinson to show and train with the intensity that he does when he plays.

“That’s where we’re seeing some huge benefits at the moment with our training, he attacks every drill and every session like it’s his last. He sets a really good standard for not only our younger players but the older players as well”, Davis said.

“He’s given everyone a real boost around the Club.”
