Just four weeks after being on the wrong end of a 54-point drubbing against the Sydney Swans Reserves at the Gabba, the Brisbane Lions Reserves almost exacted revenge in the annual NEAFL ANZAC Day clash in Mackay last Friday.

In a low-scoring affair, the Swans looked in control of the contest at half-time, before a Lions late surge ultimately came up one-point short - 6.14 (50) to 7.9 (51).

In the end, it was inaccurate kicking that was the Lions' undoing - particularly in the all-important third quarter when they kicked 1.6 to the Swans' one behind.
