As it stands, Brisbane captain Dayne Zorko is amongst the most roughed-up footballers in the league.

This season, Dayne Zorko stands second behind North Melbourne's Shaun Higgins for suffering blows worthy of match review penalties.

Higgins takes the title after being victim in six-match review charges this season, the most of any footballer in the competition.

Higgins was twice struck by Gold Coast players in off-the-ball incidents on Sunday, leading to fines for Suns co-captain Steven May and midfielder Alex Sexton.

He had previously been involved in incidents leading to Jarrad McVeigh and Bailey Banfield being fined for misconduct, as well as Brennan Cox and Mitch Robinson for rough conduct.

He was also concussed in a collision with Hawthorn's Ryan Burton after the Hawk chose to bump the star Roo while he was in possession. Burton was cleared of any wrongdoing.
