Club legend Jonathan Brown retired last year leaving the AFL with three premierships, three Club Champion awards and a Coleman medal.

It's hard to put into words the sense of expectation that filled the stadium every time the ball launched into the Lions' forward line throughout the peak of Brown's career.

With a vice-like grip and eyes for the ball, there was a good chance Brown would take the mark if it was anywhere near his general vicinity. A showstopper goal would often follow.

It's equally hard to describe Brown's leadership and devotion to the Lions, which included him twice turning down lucrative offers to join Collingwood.

He led with actions - always from the front and with that trademark swagger.

Join us at Browny’s Tribute Lunch on Friday 8 May, where Leigh Matthews will chat with him about many aspects of his great career, the five match moments that best epitomise his whole footy persona and more!

It will be a memorable and nostalgic day to relive and celebrate his magnificent contribution to the Brisbane Lions and to the AFL game we all love.

The Queensland Tribute Lunch was hosted at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre on Tuesday 31 March. Guests were given an inner sanctum look into the behind the scenes workings of the legend, both on and off the field, by some of the most influential people in his life.
