BRISBANE LIONS coach Justin Leppitsch says he is delighted with Dayne Zorko's pre-season work and has backed the diminutive forward to spend time in the midfield.

As part of a question and answer session with fans via the AFL's Twitter account, Leppitsch also said he expected draftee Lewis Taylor to play at some point this year, following a slow start due to foot surgery.

The coach also said ex-Collingwood forward Jackson Paine was training well after shoulder surgery.
